The cherry blossom bento has an eye catching design, not unlike a kimono. the material under the seal is actually printed cloth.
Due to different sections being used all designs are a little different.
It's really unique isn't it? Have a close look at the pattern and you can see the real cloth texture.
Chopstick case is also beautiful.
We only have a few remaining Gift box.
Check out shop!
It's been getting cold recently.
It makes me feel like something hot to eat, soup would be great for lunch, so I made a great soup Bento lunch.
This is just caned soup from super market. I would usually make my own soup but I was in a rush, Instead of a garden salad, broccoli and boiled egg salad works just as well.
I like this bowl it is really versatile, definitely recommended!
BENTO LUNCH BOWL
One of our clients sent us this beautiful photo and told us how great our bento box is.
Karaage (japanese fried chicken) bento is very popular in Japan.
Umeboshi (pickled plum) goes perfectly with rice.
Historically Japanese people put Umeboshi on rice to keep it from spoiling.
This is a vintage Matcha bowl from the 60's.
The black finish might seem simple, but when viewed from various angles you can see many patterns.
It comes wrapped in a yellow cloth in a box made of paulownia wood
It is stored this way for protection from wear and only taken out when used, thus it is still in immaculate condition after 50 years.
Oribe Furate was a Daimyo (Feudal Lord) and a master of the tea ceremonies during the Momoyama era (1573 - 1603) and inspired this type of Mino-ware.
Oribe-ware has distinctive characteristics including a green glaze and unbalanced lines that resemble dripping water. Many of the designs are based on every day life and natural environments around us.
The uneven finish of this style of ceramic has come to be seen in Jpanese culture as having a richly expressive beuty.
Mango served on a leaf shaped plate.
The ceramic cracks during the glazing process to give a unique effect.
We call this cracking Kannyu in Japanese.
Let's have a look closer.
It's looks like ocean, doesn't it?
I took this photo at figure 8 rock pools.
As it happens it looks like leaf shaped plate!
Snack time with the kids!
I used our Block Bento Box to serve snacks, If they can't eat everything you can pack away easily.
I also sometimes use one as a pencil box for our kids.

I would like to talk about handmade glass today.
Do you know how to tell handmade glass apart? One of the ways is to check for"air bubbles" in the glass.
Handmade glass often has slight imperfections that make each piece unique.
This is Ryoko's glass.
You can see the tiny air bubbles? Some artists try to minimize bubbles as much as possible .
This is Makoto's glass.
He leaves many bubbles in the glass as he thinks they are like a signature.
Another way to handmade is that it almost feels soft in the hand and very smooth, you should compare handmade and not. The difference is quite easy to tell.
